Fallston MD my wife and I moved here 22 years ago. We moved here because Fallston has a great school system, we loved the rural feel while still living close to stores. We knew that zoning prevented the building of apartment buildings and other housing. Each house was required to have a 50 ft set back, and use a septic system.

Now, out of the blue, we had a Walmart built with apartment buildings near by. We now have an apartment building getting built right across the street!

How did this happen? What zoning rules were violated?

Why is our representative Joe Woods not standing for his constituents?

when we moved into this area we were aware that we

althought residential area, area also containted a large portion of harford countrys development envelope area.

we did our homework before the purchase to determine all of the what ifs. What can they do what cant they do, what can they build, can they put up manufacturing plants, etc.

After educating ourselves about these issues, we purchase the home because it was the home of our dreams and we really liked it.

what we were not prepared for, or completely naive about, was that in Harford County, certain businesses do not need to play by the rules when comes to zoning.

In our own backyard, secrecy and corruption prevailed.
